Founded in 1972, India Electricals Syndicate is a single-source manufacturer dedicated solely to the engineering, fabrication, and galvanizing of heavy-duty electrical structural support systems.
Our 1972 founding date is our most defensible commitment. We have supplied the power plants, steel plants, electricity boards, and EPC contractors that built the modern Indian infrastructure backbone. Every tray and strip is inspected under a defined Quality Assurance Plan.

Founded in Howrah
India Electricals Syndicate begins manufacturing cable trays and earthing materials from the Howrah engineering belt — then one of India's most productive industrial hubs — serving the state electricity boards and the first wave of PSU power plants.
PSU Power Plant Contracts
IES becomes a preferred supplier to NTPC, State Electricity Boards, and DVC for cable management and earthing in thermal power stations across eastern India. The first large-format perforated trays roll out of the Howrah facility.
Steel Plant Expansion
Contracts with SAIL's Durgapur, Rourkela, and Bhilai steel plants establish IES as the cable tray supplier for heavy-industrial applications. HDG (hot-dip galvanizing) capacity is expanded in-house.
ISO 9001 Certification & Refinery Sector
ISO 9001 quality management certification formalises IES's QA practices. Refinery projects at Haldia, Kochi, and Mangaluru add marine-grade HDG cable management to the portfolio. BIS licensing for IS 12352 cable trays is obtained.
Solar MMS & Transmission Towers
As India's solar sector takes off, IES adapts its HDG structural expertise to solar module mounting structures (MMS). Ground-mount and rooftop solar MMS enter the product range alongside transmission line tower components for PGCIL.

Approved supplier to Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for cable management systems and GI structures used in EHVT switchyards and transmission corridors.
In-House HDG & Testing
On-site hot-dip galvanizing plant ensures zinc coating quality (IS 2629 / IS 4759) is controlled at source — not outsourced. Load, deflection, and continuity testing is performed in-house.
