Cable Glands — Overview

India Electricals Syndicate supplies industrial cable glands engineered for secure cable entry and environmental sealing at panels, junction boxes and motor terminations. The gland clamps the cable, seals the entry against dust and water, and where required maintains armour continuity for earthing — a small component that determines the ingress rating and electrical safety of the whole enclosure.

Glands are offered in single and double compression patterns in nickel-plated brass and SS 316, with IP66 and IP68 sealing for indoor, outdoor and submerged service. Armoured, unarmoured and braided cable variants are sized to the project cable schedule, with locknuts, earth tags, shrouds and serrated washers available as a matched assembly.

Materials and sealing conform to IS:12943 and IEC 62444 practice, suitable for power, refinery, oil & gas and chemical plant terminations. Documentation is supplied against specification. Send your cable schedule with a quote request and our Howrah desk will return a gland selection and offer.
