What does India Electricals Syndicate manufacture?
IES manufactures cable management systems (perforated, ladder, solid-bottom cable trays, raceways, accessories), cable glands and lugs, earthing and lightning protection materials, GI and structural steel fabrications, transmission line towers, substation structures, and solar mounting structures — in Howrah since 1972.
Is IES BIS licensed and ISO certified?
Yes. India Electricals Syndicate is ISO 9001:2015 certified and BIS-licensed for IS 12352 (cable trays). Products comply with IS 12352, IEC 61537, IS 3043, IEC 62561, IS 2629, IS 802, IS 875, IS 2062 and related standards.
What is the difference between perforated and ladder cable trays?
Perforated trays have a slotted/ventilated base, ideal for control and lighter power cables. Ladder trays use open rungs for maximum ventilation and the highest load capacity over long spans, suited to heavy power cabling in power plants, refineries, and steel plants.
What finishes are available?
Hot-dip galvanized (IS 2629 / ASTM A123), pre-galvanized, powder-coated, and painted finishes. Hot-dip galvanizing is recommended for outdoor, coastal, and corrosive environments; powder coating for clean indoor environments.
What earth resistance does IS 3043 require?
Target values depend on the installation — typically below 1 ohm for large substations and up to ~5 ohms for smaller installations. Lower is always better. IES supplies copper-bonded earth rods, GI earth strips, and complete earthing systems to achieve target values.
Does IES supply across India?
Yes. Manufacturing in Howrah, IES dispatches across India — including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and all major industrial corridors and project sites.
Does IES supply to EPC and government projects?
Yes. IES supplies EPC contractors, power utilities, refineries, steel plants, and government infrastructure projects. We respond to BOQ/RFQ submissions and provide vendor documentation. See our Vendor Information page.
How do I request a quote?
Submit your requirement via the Request a Quote (RFQ) page or email [email protected] with your Bill of Quantities. We provide fast-turnaround quotations for project and EPC requirements.
What is the lead time?
Lead time depends on product, quantity, and finish. Standard cable management items have shorter lead times; large structural/galvanized orders are scheduled per project. Confirmed per quotation.
Can IES provide test certificates and compliance documents?
Yes. IES provides galvanizing thickness test certificates, material test certificates, and compliance documentation per the applicable IS/IEC standards with dispatch.
