Reliance Jamnagar Refinery
India Electricals Syndicate (IES) was selected by L&T Hydrocarbon to provide specialized stainless steel cable management for the Reliance Jamnagar complex—the world's largest refinery. Our role was to provide lifelong support for the refinery's critical petrochemical processing units.
The Challenge
The Jamnagar complex is situated in a high-salinity coastal environment, making ordinary galvanized steel obsolete. The project demanded SS-316 metallurgy with absolute material traceability. Every single tray required a mill test certificate tied to its heat number, along with Positive Material Identification (PMI) to prevent contamination.
Our Solution
IES manufactured a specialized range of SS-316 ladder cable trays with MIG-welded rungs and a precision pickled-and-passivated finish. We implemented a rigorous heat-number tracking system across 28,000+ metres of supply, ensuring that every component met Reliance's institutional quality manual and NACE MR0103 standards for corrosive environments.
