Angular Ladder Cable Tray
Heavy-duty angle-section ladder trays for long unsupported spans.
Angular Ladder Cable Tray — Overview
The angular ladder cable tray from India Electricals Syndicate is built from rolled angle-section stringers to IS:2062 rather than formed sheet, giving the highest stiffness-to-span ratio in the IES cable management range. It is specified where support steel is widely spaced and the tray must carry heavy power cables over extended unsupported runs — power plant cable racks, refinery pipe bridges and offshore cable corridors.
Angle stringers are joined by welded rungs to carry sustained mechanical load with minimal mid-span deflection on unsupported spans up to 9 metres, reducing the number of supports, fasteners and site labour on long horizontal corridors. Stringer height and angle thickness are selected to the project cable loading and span schedule.
Fabrication and welding follow IS:2062 and IEC 61537 practice, hot-dip galvanized for long outdoor service life, with documentation supplied against specification. Manufactured at the Howrah works in continuous production since 1972. Share your span and loading schedule with a quote request and the engineering desk will respond with a documented offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose an angular ladder tray over a formed ladder tray?+
The rolled angle-section stringers give greater stiffness, so it carries heavy cable loads over longer unsupported spans (up to 9 metres) with fewer supports.
What is the maximum unsupported span?+
Up to 9 metres depending on cable loading; stringer height and angle thickness are selected to the project schedule.
Which standard governs the stringer material?+
Angle sections are to IS:2062, with cable tray practice to IEC 61537, hot-dip galvanized for outdoor service.
Where is it manufactured?+
At India Electricals Syndicate, Howrah, Kolkata — in continuous manufacture since 1972.
What specifiers say about IES cable trays
“IES has been our specified cable tray and earthing vendor across multiple thermal projects. Documentation, MTC, and dispatch discipline have been consistent over years of supply.”
“Hot-dip galvanizing micron consistency and IS 12352 conformance on every batch — that's what we rely on for corrosive coastal sites. Lead times from Howrah are predictable.”
“For solar mounting structures across our 50 MW deployment, IES held the galvanizing spec across 30,000+ pieces. Quality dispute count: zero. That tells the story.”
